It certainly isn't productive, but to word it differently:

Some people (including me) can't understand what bombing a Marathon has to do with "messing with your pride."

If you were from Chechnya, we could talk about harming national pride (or other equally nonsensical bs) or how this might change the view of people's opinion of a nationality. Other than that, I don't get it. But that's just me, I'm aware that many people have a different sense/understanding of pride.

I haven't been following the situation live as it happens, The most important thing to me at this stage is that those responsible are caught, and they were. Everything else has been a bombardment of details and TOC's trolling.
