The reviews have been pretty glowing so far. Definitely keen to play it but I am presently console-less

It isn't bad so far in. One thing i hate about games that are in a series is that they always try to make it so anyone can play any game in the series regardless of having played any of the others. Like, I don't want to spend an hour learning how to play a game that I've already invested 60-80 hours in the previous titles. But in ass creed3 it was relatively painless and quick to get through.
