all else being equal, avoiding an outcome because it entails suffering (your own or others') is the ethical thing to do

but never mind me, i'm only a utilitarian when i forget about other stuff

suffering and torture are the hallmarks of a well rounded person whose opinions are valid because outside forces shaped them and manipulated their thought process into a higher sensitivty range to be empathetic with others. i trust a manatee opinion over an eagle any day.

You hit it on the head there. They tend to be selfish and childlike and when they don't get what they want.. watch out.

yeah he's a sadistic 10 year old basically, seriously he likes toys and cartoons and fantasy novels and sex with little girls and that's about it. and causing conflict to get attention.

it's pretty hard to OD on benzos unless you mix them with alcohol or other CNS depressants but i would not recommend taking a lot of it because you will likely end up doing something stupid and you really don't need that many to get fucked up proper anyway

yeah i have lots of revenge fantasies, he has an irrational fear of guns so it usually involves those

I took a xanax once and an hour later had a beer. My heart rate slowed into the 30's. Scared the living hell out of me.

0 is not at all 1 is somewhat applies 2 is completely applies. the book goes into much more details about what each factor means

Factor 1: Personality "Aggressive narcissism"

Glibness/superficial charm - 1
Grandiose sense of self-worth - 2
Pathological lying - 2
Cunning/manipulative - 2
Lack of remorse or guilt - 2
Shallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived and egocentric) - 2
Callousness; lack of empathy -2
Failure to accept responsibility for own actions - 2

Factor 2: Case history "Socially deviant lifestyle".

Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom - 1
Parasitic lifestyle - 2
Poor behavioral control - 2
Lack of realistic long-term goals - 2
Impulsivity - 0
Irresponsibility - 1
Juvenile delinquency - 0 (don't think he ever got caught doing anything)
Early behavior problems - i know sexual activity and he ran away but let's just say 1
Revocation of conditional release - 0

Traits not correlated with either factor

Promiscuous sexual behavior - 0 i guess, not with adults
Many short-term (marital) relationships - 0
Criminal versatility - 0

so i give him a 24

I know of a 40 yo who never moved away from home. Keeps his bedroom the way it was when he was a teen. He's kind of like Uncle Rico on Napoleon Dynamite who never got over high school, the one that got away, etc. He has shelves of action figures, games, and other toys and plays with them like a child. Still laments about a girl who fucked him over his senior year of high school, and has been into trouble once for exposing himself to a 15 yo girl in a parking lot after trying to pick up on her, and now on the sexual offenders list.

He feels that he is above everyone, and that the problem is not him, but always with someone else. He harassed a 20 yo girl that got pregnant with his child until she got an abortion because he said he couldn't be in a relationship where he competes with a child. There's more but I don't want to type out a chapter.

30+ is what is needed for criminal psychopathy so according to my analysis (lol) he's not one

but really if he had been caught he would be a lot closer to 30 so it seems a little flawed

oh man

the guy i'm talking bout, let's call him T, he still lamented about this girl Emily he knew at school who he was like obsessed with to the point he carved her name into this "Walking stick" thing he made and he still has it. or he did in 2004 anyway. when he was 24. he knew this girl in middle school.

T is more like a stranger danger kidnap your children type person although he has done the whole "trusted adult" thing with people in his family
