Yeah I know and his desire to increase the defense budget is mind blowing. Perhaps it's wishful thinking about him reducing the deficit but I think they would somehow have find a way to reduce it or the republicans will loose much of their base in 4 years. The somehow plan would be nice to know though.

Also trickle down economics is hore shit and these republicans still like it. I'm for giving breaks to small businesses but not this dumb idea of trickle down.

obamas given 17 tax breaks to small businesses and doesnt subscribe to trickle down economics. if youre in a swing state and voting i'd, uh, think about this a little deeper
and like i said there is no romney plan to reduce the deficit. not to mention alot of the deficit is brought by external factors its not like theres a lever you pull to simply fix it

What I'm saying is that there is a lot of republican criticism about the deficit increasing. If the deficit continues to rise at the same rate in 4 years the republicans would have a hard time relying on their claims of fiscal conservatism.

My point is that the republicans are more motivated to do something about the deficit and have more riding on the importance of reducing it because they're kind of selling themselves as the party that can do it (albeit with no real plan). They have more at stake when it comes to deficit reduction than the democrats do.
