Smartphones are tracking devices that happen to make calls.

I have a friend who just got one and says it works fairly well for him and only costs him $35 per month (including the data plan). the only catch is that you have to buy the phone, but there's no service agreement so you can cancel anytime you want.
what does fairly well mean? i think i'm gonna get a solo plan soon, not sure what yet but this company sounds interesting

i just dont know how much data i'd use but i tihnk keeping it to a minimum would be best anyway and using wifi as much as possible... if i kept it under 500mb it'd be worth it, otherwise virgin sounds like it might be better... dont have to worry about data cap and about the same price

republicwireless sounds good except if you move out of wifi to sprint it drops your calls but i guess if you got used to it it's not too bad a drawback, i mean $19 you can't beat that

do you use it, scotty?

He's had it a month. Lives in Columbus. It uses the Sprint network, which he says works fine for him in and around Columbus. He travels back and forth to Michigan for work every week and said that one or two of the places he frequents in Michigan have poor coverage for Sprint.

That's the case with any netork, though. There are regional strengths and weaknesses no matter which network you use.

One thing that's good about their phone is that even if you live in a "dead zone" for Sprint, if you have wifi your cell phone will work in your home.

I'd suggest doing research in your area regarding their network to get a better idea whether that company would work for you.

It was weird, i was crazy hungover and blitzed on edibles leaving ocean shores toward port Angeles and all i had to do was link up with the 101 but the stupid gps led me to about 15miles of fucked up logging roads. About halfway through i decided to stop and give a call to my sis just to let someone know where i was, but i couldn't call out. No cell reception, meanwhile full internet access.
