Well for what it's worth, Shpongle isn't really rave music though I think they cross over heavily with the DMT scene and generally do drug soaked dance parties ever go away? We just call 'em different things.

And no, that's not a rave. Raves aren't at places like HOB, they're at abandoned warehouses and places like that. This is just an electronic show. If you haven't noticed, electronic music is really popular right now. There's some good stuff out there.

i assume any drug always has a "scene" because people gather together to do drugs together i mean, i dunno what you define a scene as

Yeah ilikeplanets has it right. Shpongle makes sense with DMT because a lot of his music is influenced by the strange sound of DMT. You can do a little and things just look pretty and sound weird, like LSD, but if you do enough of it and do it properly its almost like falling asleep and dreaming, insanely vivid and real closed-eye hallucinations. It's interesting stuff, and can be very scary, very enlightening or just very disorienting. I dunno, I could talk about DMT for days, its a complex thing. There's a book about it called The Spirit Molecule, a really good read if you're interested.

I've heard people talk about this scene and just watched it now for the first time, it's actually a pretty good representation of what it's like and why its not a "party drug". However, a lot of people report contact with entities, and while my dmt trips have been similar to this - some have been very different.
