i don't agree that this is positive reinforcement. eating disorders are all about hiding. she needs pressure to realize she is in a lot of danger imo. she is not going to go herself, she is too ill

and she does mean something, why is it bad saying that?

This is actually negative reinforcement. Most eating disordered people usually want encouragement and thinspiration. Whatever attention she gets here is not going have any effect on what she does anyway. More than likely she won't go in for a check up until she has symptoms that scare her into getting help.

She is already scared, but I guess not scared enough. She knows and told me she feels like she is dying.

just stop giving it attention. you're not dealing with her anymore, you're dealing with her disorder. she is relishing the attention and won't help herself until she has no other options. haven't you seen intervention before?

someone needs to exercise some tough love and ban her until she seeks help.
