Right now I am reading The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, any of you read that? It's really good, I'm not done yet though. Highly recommended for anyone interested in historical fiction, the middle ages, Christian theology, murder mysteries/detective stories, or any combination of the above.

i read that a few months ago and really liked it. i also enjoyed foucault's pendulum by the same author, which is like da vinci code but it doesn't suck

I started reading this a few days ago and it is very good, but I got very sad in the beginning with the mentions of the Moors Murders.

recent list:

cormac mccarthy - blood meridian
john steinbeck - east of eden
ursual k leguin - lathe of heaven

about to jump into either mccarthy's "border trilogy" or leguin's "left hand of darkness" soon as i finish the book of clive barkers short stories. so far i've read books of blood volume 1, 3, and 4.

sci-fi vs western
