i don't disagree with any of this. plenty of shitty expensive IPAs out there. but the generalities you've drawn from your experience don't match up reliably with reality. there may be lots of crap IPAs but there are also many excellent ones. also, while i do not care for the extremely hoppy varieties, i don't think it's fair at all to second-guess the enjoyment of those who do. how would you know?

you keep saying you're trolling. here's a question: what's the point? you're essentially griping about people enjoying something and acting like it's impossible they're genuine. good trolling exposes the negative traits people would prefer to hide, but all you're doing here is ruining what was otherwise a pleasant discussion. you know what that makes you? banana.

the market in the united states is flooded with horrible IPAs

i mean if it was just as normal and it wasn't all over the place it would be one thing but shitty microbrewed IPAs are a dime a dozen in the states
