Same here. That's why I said only if it was recently.

a priest at a church i used to go to with my family said once in a sermon that NASCAR is an acronym for "Non-Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks"

that got a hearty laugh from the congregation. not sure how it fit into the sermon, but now i always (regrettably) think of it whenever nascar gets brought up

what i like most about the show - and particularly hank (it is his show) - is that its basic premise being hank, raised in a time with old-fashioned and often neurotic learning patterns and he's constantly being challenged in his belief system by his family and friends.

i was watching the episode where buck calls in a fake propane emergency so hank gets the page, only to find out its just buck in the drunk tank. hanks like "... and its a thirty dollar fine for falsifying a propane emergency once i report us."

hahahaha he's so square.

totally. what i like also is that even though he's so old fashioned and black and white about everything, he's still likable. he might roll his eyes and bitch and moan but he's still a good guy. he puts up with luanne and khan and dale and bobby

Man, stole that one right out from under my feet - glad I read the next few posts below the one I was intending on quoting, or I would of really looked like a fool, I tell you what.

I have seasons 1-4 on DVD - but now that they're all on Netflix, I'm just going to cruise through them. Going to make for some quick 20 minute lunch break fare.

The episode where they go to the lawn mower focus group is my favorite of all - so many great moments in that one.

Peggy's been pissing me off lately.

She kidnapped that mexican girl, fronted that she was a nun, and got caught up with that online phd scam (though she redeemed herself on that one).

hank was really proud having peggy work with him - you really notice how she thinks she's better than everyone - including hank - in that ep

she has too much self-confidence to the point of being blissfully unaware - which is strange if you consider her relationship with her mother. you'd think she would have zero confidence from that. which might be true and she's just overcompensating with any little achievement she can grasp onto and she becomes petty and vindictive towards anything she views as competition. even if its a child.

she's also a nitpicker
