Because there's not tons to do unless you like playing golf and sweating gallons. There's a cool airplane museum, an OK art museum. A tram up to the hills and canyons around for hikes.

But it's really, really hot in the summer of course so find a pool and stay there.

Gonna go with my grandfather and his wife.

They live out in las Vegas, so I'm flying out there and hanging out there for a while before CA

Love Las Vegas too, went one Christmas and had tons of fun

We have family in San Diego, so we may go there too

I hope we do, I want to get some surfing in

You live in Missouri, what the fuck are you talking about? It gets hot, but you get probably less than 5 days a year above 100.

So you're comparing heat in Palm Sprungs to Nebraska.

Might as well compare Houston summers to Portland, Oregon's.

Hot to me, at least.

I had a heat stroke when I was younger, so have a low heat tolerance

What sucks is that I sunburn pretty easily. I'm of Nordic, Sicilian, German, and Apache/Yaqui descent, but I take after my very Nordic father, so with my fair skin, I'm either burnt or fried

desert hot isnt like midwest hot.

it's dry as a bone. and just cus the sun goes down doesnt mean the temperature will. 100 degrees at midnight isnt unheard of.

go to san diego. palm springs is kind of a drag.

Honestly, I prefer bone dry heat than the damn humidity I've experienced

Kills my joints

yeah i don't mind it either, actually. I hate east coast summers but i loved living in Vegas even on 116 degree days wearing sleeves and a tie.

Yeah probably

I remember that heat stroke I had too, it sucked

I was living in STL at the time (left at age 9, or 10, I don't remember)

Was at an amusement park, and I passed out for an hour or so.

Then I woke up and was exhausted, disoriented, and on the verge of vomiting

Had a heat rash too

The Texan in me laughs at you all complaining about heat and humidity. People in the NE don't know humidity in the heat.

It was well over 100 degrees, and I was just hanging around the park.

But boy was I sick the next few days
