I had a gameboy advance and hated it. The screen was so fucking dark! I sent it into Nintendo twice for them to fix it. Both times they said they had done so, but it always looked the same. I even bought a light for it but that just reflected on the screen. Why the fuck was that shit so dark? I used to roll with the game gear when I was a little kid, and that shit had a fucking light behind the screen. good going nintendo, you fucking idiots.

I was never allowed a Gameboy either.
When I was that age my favourite thing in the world was a boy-band called Five. I thought they were the baddest motherfuckers around and I wanted to be like them. It took a year or two to get over the obsession but I was disgusted with myself that I could have ever liked them. Sooooooo gaaaay. I picked up their first two albums (and Backstreet's Back by Backstreet Boys) recently for a couple of bucks at a thrift store recently and listened to them now and then. It's okay I guess.
