Thumbs up A New Poetry Appreciation Thread

Amazing, forgotten, epic Corgan masterpiece. I have no idea why this gem wasn't on Mary Star of the Sea. As there isn't any news in SP land, it seems like a good time to look back and appreciate this forgotten song.

It sucks Zwan is remember by the public as the shitty album and not by songs like this. Really great song, always loved hearing it at the shows.

It's pleasant but it's no Cast A Stone, never really got the hype with this one

the lyrics are awesome and the end of the song brings the payoff ... but yeah cast a stone is great ...

I love this song, the DVD version was a welcome reminder Bill still had 'it' even back then.

a lot of that i would attribute to the fact that it was billy's first opportunity to bring out a weatlth of material never used for smashing pumpkins songs for one reason or another.

also there was so much material this is when material noticably became divided into separate projects (ie - zwan/djali zwan/chicago songs)

I thought that this was a new thread appreciating Billy's poetry. Was not disappointed.

I wish I was more familiar with non-MSotS Zwan songs. I have this compilation that has 4 discs worth of music and I listen to it every now and then but I still can't really match names to the songs. I guess if I was a fan during the era It'd be a bit more ingrained in my memory like the American Gothic and IAGW songs are.

(after listening to ANP)

Yeah this song is pretty coll. It's neat how with multiple guitarists playing the melody in that way, it sounds a little like a single guitarist fucking around with a delay/looping effect. I like that kind of musicianship.

Yeah I know it's better but when the music is new there's a lot more excitement surrounding it.
