Default Awesome fan made Mina Loy video

This video is off the charts amazing. In my opinion better than all NEW SP videos. GLOW, Tarantula, Owata, etc. Hope Billy takes this guy to make a similar video for a Oceania single. It is a long shot, but Billy did tweet this video

Oh, yeah

is that Billy at 1.11 doing his famous "FOR YOU" gesture?

The footage after the 3 minute mark is especially good - I'd love to see these kind of dreamy visuals for the Oceania releases. I can take or leave the V for Vendetta stuff.

Overall pretty nice, but a touch repetitive with all the overlays.

it's not that bad. I quite liked it on TFE. It suited the cold clinical sound of the music.

i also like TFE. it is a weird album. Mina Loy, Dia, Sorrows, A100, etc. interesting songs. Not great, but interesting. It was BC's "arty" project for sure.

It was a bold record (for him anyway). I wish he had been as radical when he made Zeitgeist.

The whole of TFE is dragged down by much of 'I'm Ready'. That is one awful turd of a song.

in a couple of interviews Billy said that I'm Ready is his favourite song from TFE

with Zeitgeist he couldn't do a bold record because he was with Warner. they wanted something fast, rocking and commercial. Zeitgeist is a bellow average record but some stuff on it is good. great live songs, great b-sides, american gothic EP and if all goes wrong DVD and songs like 99 Floors make up for the record.

probably because it's the most "fueled by jesus" song on the album. Maybe that's why I hate it - because I expect more intelligent lyrics/arrangements from Billy.

While I did mostly enjoy AG, I didn't really enjoy the residency era songs which I thought were pretty repetitive, uninspired and kind of anemic.

Gossamer/ Stellar (yes it's a god song, but you know...a good one) kept me interested, and reminded me he is capable of writing songs that hold my interest.

some residency song were repetitive ... but they were written in a couple of hours and we got so many songs in such a short time. the idea of the residencies was a bold one and songs like 99 Floors and Mama are good additions to Billy's work.

Gossamer live with Uli Roth Was awesome.

Quality not quantity. After listening to some of those tracks and watching the woeful IAGW DVD I knew that BC was in a bad place with his songwriting. Next came TBK, so I was proven correct.

It's only now with Oceania that he appears to be consistently making good music again.

I'm going on the live tracks. Let me enjoy the two months we have before we hear them totally butchered on the album. I don't really buy the hype of BC's hangers on that it's an amazing album, and will prefer to make my own judgement.

I'm giggling at the thought of CAIC crowd surfing. Also, he isn't a nostalgia boy, he just spends his money wisely. After the last 2 shitty performances of 'SP' in Glasgow I boycotted their recent shows as well.

i wouldn't say that i spend my money wisely. heh.
it's just that i didn't think the show was worth my time and the effort of getting there. so i didn't go. and i still don't regret that, even though everyone who went said it was a good show.

Same here. It would have cost me a full tank of petrol and the cost of a ticket, and in 2011 SP are not worth Ł80-90 to see.

I don't mind either way.
