Animals have souls, plants have souls. Basically anything living has a soul. Your soul never dies but your body does. Your soul will probably never be in the same creature or even on the same planet again. The universe is so vast that you will jump around to a new part of the universe in a new being after you pass on this planet. Where you go and what you are is completely dependent on how you live your life right now.

we are each of us nothing but animals. YOU ARE an animal. You are as much an animal any other.

for that matter, our "animal" bretheren have language, culture, customs, etc. It may not be valued by us as highly developed. but our minds spring from the same evolutionary well. We are not barely different from a chimpanzee or a dolphin in that regard.

becasue there is no scientific explanation TODAY for a given question, does not mean that the answer must therefore be esoteric.

People have a these senses because they aided us on our evolutionary path within our environment.

as far as the specific piece of DNA that gives us the gift of language - scientists have no idea why it's there or where it comes from or what made it appear.
