but you're still allowed to knee them in the head when they're standing up right?

yeah, i'm not gonna lie i can totally understand why it's become a popular spectacle considering the blood lust of the average human, but still i think it's pretty damning that so many people like this barbaric sport

at least there is no swearing allowed in the ring

i can attest to the visceral satisfaction that comes from seeing a foe vanquished in the most demeaning and damaging way possible. but it's pretty silly and easy not to indulge in

i've never seen this sport where a foe is supposed to be vanquished in the most demeaning and damaging way possible, link?

its had some novelty value since its a fairly new "sport" that's been evolving with new ways of approaching fights coming up and being countered. Right now from the few mathches i've seen lately people are barely wrestling and mostly standing up when they fight, which basically turns it into k1 with smaller shorts and not very interesting to watch, for me. Also you peeps must understand that the blood comes from superficial cuts from the thinner gloves the contestants uses, it's stuff that heals over a short period of time.

In order for that mentality to work you have to have some emotional attachment to one of the fighters. But its just like, why?

i started liking UFC when boxing became almost strictly a points sport and people stopped getting knocked out.
