i really hate the whole gift giving/receiving thing. i don't really have the money to get anyone anything decent, so it just turns into a disaster. i like buying things for my boyfriend but that feels different for some reason. if i could just exchange with him i'd be much happier about the whole thing.

but my mom loves this shit and so she always asks me what i want. only thing i could come up with was a gift card toward the resort we're going to for new year's.

i still have to buy everything. never know what to get my dad. my mom's birthday is the day after christmas so i have to get two things.

like this month should be about relaxation and shit. not stressing out about buying people presents.

ugggghhhhhh

What happened to said album after the divorce settlement? I've always wondered how stuff like that gets sorted out.

My brother's girls went to the black friday shit show and to get him a flatscreen and she was short $200 because she had to end up getting a different one than she intended so I went and met her after work (bartended that night) to give her the $, and I told him just to keep it and that be part of his christmas present but now that appears to be the extent of my christmas shopping this year due to my recent decline.

p.s- black friday is just as disgusting as I ever imagined it would be and I can't believe I saw it first hand...

ugh my grandmother just asked me what I want.. and I said the usual (nothing, I don't need anything, save your money, blah blah) and she said please please don't say that I would rather get you something you want or need, I said I don't "want or need" anything, and she kept making me feel bad, so I said socks. All my socks keep running away to orphan sock land and I'm not motivated enough to go buy some so I guess I could use some socks.

I'm getting her an ipod nano since she has taken up the gym. I wanted something like the first generation that wasn't touch screen but the only one like that is the shuffle and thats stupid for someone's first ipod (plus she would use the radio on it). Luckily I have a big music collection with lost of oldie stuff (patsy cline, motown stuff, etc.) so I can just put music on for her because I know there is no way in hell she is going to put it on. I've been trying to teach her about technology (tablets, laptops, smart phones, etc. ) and she expressed a lot of interest in that so I know its something she wants/will use.
