Exactly. And Paterno downplayed it to his superiors even more, which I think makes this officially a cover-up operation too. I don't see how after the shower incidents he or anyone else wouldn't have adopted an interest in putting Sandusky behind bars. It isn't prudent and is very fishy.

What bugs me deeply as well is how the police handled the one situation where the boy's mom called them about Sandusky showering with her son. Apparently bear hugging and soap battles with a naked child are not worth a very large-scale investigation.

Well it's a rumor, but he was investigating a gambling ring that was tied to all sorts of crazy shit. Since they couldn't find his body or any paperwork they just said he killed himself and shut the case.

I'm certain that's a coverup too by the state police.
