Banana's logic would make more sense if this was an isolated event, but it isn't. It'd make more since had Sandusky not worked out in the PSU weight room last week, but he didn't. It'd make sense if after 2002, when he admitted to abuse and went to the kids' house and apologized to the mother, Sandusky were banned from Paterno's locker room with kids, but he wasn't.

oh, i don't know, maybe because there was an investigation on sandusky four years before that for similar conduct that paterno surely knew about. i'm sure paterno, at age 76 or whatever, was still smart enough to put two and two together, something you appear to struggle with.

it absolutely is reasonable to question paterno's morals for reporting and then not following up. he knew exactly what that report could mean and did nothing.

How can Paterno take the word of one guy, a story that may not have been that detailed and made that much sense and use that to go straight to the police to surely ruin the guys life? But he did take it to the powers that be so that they could investigate it. And if they found it to be true then the police would be notified. That was the realistic way of handling it, that's the way anyone else in the same situation would have handled it. So stop monday morning quarterbacking the situation and scapegoating Paterno. The man did nothing wrong. Hindsight is a bitch, but he did nothing wrong.

I generally find you tolerable, contrary to the general disposition towards you here, but that was an absolutely terrible read. Fuck you.
