Look, scientifically we do not yet understand how or why certain things work, particularly with the brain because it's extremely complex...and the same goes for dreams.

Also, I'm pretty sure I never said I was an expert in anything but I do have a lot of knowledge about psych (and experience to boot) and definitely more than anybody else on these boards (in terms of both education and working in the field).

i don't know why i'm supposed to feel bad for the guy, and they seemed to be going for that real hard and it's kind of dumb

lord of war is almost a clone of the plot but it's better I thought because it's an important subject and also because they handled that aspect of it better, i think you get a better sense of that the character deserves it rather than in blow, where he's like boo hoo my daughter never visits me and i'm like WELL DUH. If he was a completely clean cocaine dealer it would be one thing but there's no such thing.

haven't read it in a long time but there was something about the main character finding a toad in the radioactive wastes that was pretty "out there"

it could have been a classic or at least a cult classic but other movies had done the same thing before, and better

that and the whole thing was just really sad in how it ended. but there was no other way for it to end i guess
