I had a class a long time ago about trauma and shock, and we had to read through countless Jewish opinion pieces about how horrible it was to make documentaries about Nazis and show them as people because they were inhuman killing machine monster devil beasts. And I just could not accept that these people who witnessed the dehumanization of a group could so quickly be guilty of the exact same mental crime. Nobody wants to think that they were people too, and it just keeps the cycle going... It's nice to see a movie that points to this dilemma. Two wrongs don't make a right, unless of course you were the one wronged.
