That was my take. All of Tarantino's movies feature sadism and torture prominently. The fact that Inglorious Basterds takes place during bizarro WWII does not make it fascist

*And I think the whole point of the "hitler's face being turned into swiss cheese in the movie theater" scene was that if you take even the slightest modicum of pleasure from watching Hitler being tortured, be it humor or catharsis or whatever, then you are sadistic just like everyone else (and, congratulations Trots, you perhaps can say you have zero sadistic tendencies but if that's the case you are definitely in the very tiny minority).
