Default So are the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ever going to make a new album?

It's been over two years since their last album and I don't thing I've heard any sort of mention of any future plans for a 4th album. Hugely underrated band, all three of their albums are great and in a rare way that each new album is better than the last.

Two years is hardly an age between albums.

But it feels like forever. Not even a word, no snippet of anything that they are eventually planning on going back into the studio and working on something.

i never liked this band at all. by the time they came out that part of me that liked their sort of music had alread died.

i google-imaged karen-o just to see what's happening and 90% of her photos were cringe-inducing. what a fucking waste of a band.

Who the fuck cares what she looks like? She's a fucking nut on stage and makes seeing them live great.

All three of their albums are great. It's Blitz! is especially great. Such a fucking good album.

I remember the first time I ever heard of them was when they performed Maps on the MTV Movie Awards and it was easily the coolest performance I've seen on any award show.

Again, I see no reason to give any shit as to how someone looks when it comes to music. Go see them live and try to hate on her. Yeah Yeah Yeahs put on a fucking fantastic show largely due to Karen O just not giving a fuck in front of a huge crowd of people and going off on stage.

Probably the best Yeah Yeah Yeahs song right here. God damn I love this band.

I like the YYY's plenty but in a weird way The Joy Formidable is the band I always wanted the Yeah Yeah Yeah's to be.

So you are able to tell if a musical act is cringe-inducing based on some pictures in a google image search?

Well that says a lot about your evaluation of music.

the whole aestetic is involved when you're talking about a band as image concious and arty as the YYYs, so if he doesn't dig the style or the insane shit Karen O wears or the fact that the guitarist looks like he's auditioning to be in a velvet underground lookalike cover band then fair play to him.

i think it's like VU came from space by way of Brooklyn, which is cool

Disliking a band because of their image is just as dumb as like a band because of their image.

It's all about the music when it comes to musicians, image is just an added bonus.

music comes down to this simple fact:

would i want to hang out with these people in real life?

That's a god awful way to determine if you like music or not, awfully pretentious.

I like music if it sounds good.

I remember kind of liking It's Blitz when it came out. The guitarist tries too hard with his look. He and Karen are the reason why the band is called a bunch of hipsters.
