Jesus christ. This is easy to say if you're a 20 something male without mouths to feed, and that 'some kind of an income' goes to pay for gas that gets put into a car your parents paid for.

Not saying that is you, because I don't know you, but it's not that simple for a LOT of people.

On top of that, getting some kind of income with decent benefits is near impossible for many.

no, i hear ya. things aren't easy, but doable. one might have to make certain concessions just to be employed, but the possibility for employment is out there. particularly if i had kids, i'd do whatever i had to. but between earning an income and not earning an income, i'll go with earning an income. but yeah, im a dude in my mid-twenties and no kids, single (ftw), tho im paying for everything i have and yeah ive never had insurance of any kind excepting for mandatory auto insurance.
