i meant it as a hypothetical. girlfriend, job, pursuit – you can have all three, but you can only really optimise for two. or maybe one; i'm single and i still didn't have enough time outside of of my job and general socialising. solution was to quit drinking. working pretty well so far. i went to a birthday party tonight. arrived about 6:30pm, everyone was drunk by 9, so i left. got home, spent a couple of hours working on stuff. a month ago i'd have still been out wasting time and money and with only a foggy head in the morning to show for it
