yes the word liberal is extremely vague and really only represents an arbitrary set of political values appropriated by one of the two major political parties so that only those political parties stay in power.

poor people need rich people as advocates sometimes otherwise it'd be really easy to pin the freeloader stereotype on the proletariat.
arianna huffington's activities however are a net disservice to those causes. the kennedy's though. they're alright. |

Liberalism should probably be retired as a word. It meant something to be against the monarchy and church, and that was such a fundamental change in the way things worked that the concept of revolution and liberalization should forever be linked. These yuppie dems are so much a part of the establishment that the idea of "change" doesn't really come to them, so we're stuck in this intolerable loop of decay as they act all pompous and tell people to "be realistic" and pretend like there's nothing to be done other than cast their vote for Democrat Clone #45 and heralding a new dawn in america when black man president gives a gay guy the medal of honor for killing brown people thousands of miles away. Yeah, that's fucking change you can believe in. Eulogy and Debaser are type cases: entrenched in the status quo, they argue on behalf of liberal causes that benefit them specifically; health care, anti-war, gay marriage. But both of them refuse to acknowledge the fundamentally broken nature of the economy, our consumption is unsustainable. For craps sake Debaser even took that as his screen name, what the fuck has he ever debased?
The only real liberals are the free marketeers, I want a planned economy so that does not make me liberal. |

something about obama's failure and the completely bankrupt nature of this country where we're constantly trying to put the train back on broken tracks to ride it a little further coupled with the apocalyptic feeling of these here times and the fact that most of the time something fundamental about civilization changes every 100 years or so and the fact that i'm just sick of people acting like they have the god-given right to consume as much as possible and because you know everything's a clusterfucking mess and nobody has any solutions because the system has failed and will continue to fail
our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable our consumption is unsustainable capitalism is wrong. there is fixed wealth, it's the materials in the earth. |

Sometimes after I fill up the tank of my car I park it and idle until I have to fill it up again. I leave my car running when I'm at work.

America hasn't had a good free-market ruler in a while. I truly believe it's time to try it out as we now know socialist-leaning and a corporate-hungry ones sure as fuck don't work.

yeah that will be a disaster, there's a reason that stuff doesn't happen organically and socialism does.
