California did get hit worse than Hawaii, not defending the tweet thing.. and one of the top 5 earthquakes I think was in Alaska so it would make sense for them to evacuate the set and the people probably just got freaked out and dramatic.. can someone explain in dumb for me how the Tsunami hit Cali so bad?? The videos I saw reminded me of the floods in Australia as far as power/force

I never understood the "My thoughts and prayers are with the [people effected by x]" tweets, status updates,etc.

What is the point of that? I'm not really bashing the people that do it.. I'm just questioning why people do it.. for what? It doesn't really benefit anyone other than the person doing it by making them look compassionate or something. If your going to say something regarding the situation post something useful.. donate some of your millions or organize a search and rescue
