This weekend was my prom weekend. After prom, I went down the shore with a group of friends, including a boy who's liked me since freshman year. After a couple hours, I was drunk and he wasn't. Rather than taking advantage of me he laid me down to sleep and made sure I was OK. His chivalry GMH.

Please accept that I enjoy making vague, baseless statements that are often irrelevant and tinged with the likeness of unwanted advice.

the inevitable long kiss goodnight of death gives me hope.

That and nano technology, genetics, stem cells and the singularity.

I think in this day and age where people make stupid jokes about starting a religion like they're being fucking original or something, one could seriously be built around the idea and anticipation of elements combined from a collection of ideals and theories based off nano technology, genetics, stem cells and the singularity. And maybe fuckin laser robots or something I dont know.
But i think amongst those topics you could find a lot of basis for religious or spiritual zeal and moral aspects and guidelines being questioned through encouraged philosophies, mortality, afterlife, existence issues etc Because a lot of it is assumed and in some cases hoped for, you'd need to bring in that religious element of faith, but try ground it on math.

You could initially market is as the 'educated religion' or the 'science religion' but then soon could rely on the dumb herd like nature of human beings when it gets going.

You could have prayers about exponential growth and such.

For billions of years
Since the outset of time
Every single one of your ancestors survived
Every single person on your mum's and dad's side
Successfully looked after and passed onto you life
What are the chances of that like
It comes to me once in a while
And everywhere I tell folk
It gets the best smile

That is a genetic fact you moron. If your 50th grandfather removed 2000 years ago, died at war, or whatever purpose, before having his children, then you would not be here.

what happens when you tell people about all of the children who died and all the potential people who never got to be born because one of their ancestors FUCKING DIED as a CHILD.

Because you are the dumbass that called it a complete fallacy. Hopefully your ability to laugh at yourself will take care of the rest.
