Question bes use of fender rhodes in songs?

i think the winner is "she's not there" by the zombies, no doubt

also:
"where it's at" - beck
"don't leave the light on baby" - belle and sebastian
"mary" - supergrass

feel free to contribute

I'd rather not.

Actually, I'll just need to think about this now that you've named the obvious ones.

Okay, She's Not There uses the Rhodes quite effectively. There's one on Karma Police too, isn't there?

Apples In Stereo - Stream Running Over

I'm having trouble telling the difference between the Fender Rhodes sound and your regular electric piano. I'll just assume we're using Rhodes as a generic term, like Kleenex.

Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense & Peppermints
Kula Shaker - 108 Battles

I think Mogwai's "Take Me Somewhere Nice" uses one. I like that song.

For some reason, I associate Rhodes with southern rock bands.

Ha another low addition. When I saw them Friday they did 'Point of Disgust' with Haley Bonar's Rhodes. I don't think they used one on the actual album. Was cool.

completely besides the point ----- the latest version of Logic Audio has a kick ass Rhodes VST plug-in

seriously the best rhodes-emulator plug in I've heard - so you get that classic rhodes sound without having to fight the spongy keys of a proper rhodes

kthxbye
