Default Can anyone here identify this very common sound effect?

Alright, so I've been looking for an answer to this for years to no avail.

In many cheesy martial arts movies of the 1970s, there's a very common sound effect used during slow-motion scenes. The only way I can describe it is that it's a sort of metallic fluttering sound. For example, if a guy is jumping absurdly high into the air to deliver a kick, this sound might be used.

Here's a clip from Chappelle Show that features the sound very prominently:

Tyrone Biggums' Red Balls Energy Drink | Chappelle's Show | Comedy Central

You can hear the sound in places such as when Tyrone punches through the car's window, when he lifts the bus, and when he starts to run through the jail's brick wall.

Any help with what it's called, or where I can get it would be much appreciated.

Are you talking about the Sic Million Dollar Man sound?

it's banging on a piano string that has been processed and looped.

You're a genius. Thank you! Now I just have to go and find a decent version of it.

Do you know if there's a formal name for this sound? Did it originate in Six Million Dollar Man?

As far as I can tell it's the Six Million Dollar Man sound, it's instantly identifiable as that to anyone born in the 70's

Take it back it's not a piano string it's a metal ruler being flick against the edge of a table.
