Default "I would have loved to see ______ live but they are dead / broken up."

I was thinking about this while listening to the best of the Doors and trying to imagine what they would have been like to see live. Here are the ones I can think of so far:

Doors
Jimi Hendrix
Nirvana
Joy Division
Jeff Buckley
Sublime
The Beatles
The Clash
Led Zeppelin
Operation Ivy
The Pixies

Anybody else?

I forgot about Cream! I was lucky enough to catch BFF because my friend had an extra ticket. They have a live DVD out that is quite good though.

Eh let's give it a shot

Joy Division
Drive Like Jehu
Gang of Four
Jawbox
The Minutemen
Pavement (s&e or crooked rain, crooked rain era)
Pixies
Iggy and the Stooges
Unwound
The Velvet Underground (right before cale left, or before loaded came out)

Now that I think about it, I've seen a lot of stuff that I wanted to see and I missed a few by such a slim margin that it's kind of depressing.

the field mice

and although still highly productive, i doubt i'll ever see the acid mothers temple live. They have this nasty habit of not playing here at all.

i just read that article. My frantic Sarah downloading of the past two weeks made me like to have been there too, but next to the field mice and this party, i would have loved to see the sea urchins as well. Stardust has been on the discman for a week now, that's quite an accomplishment when belonging to a 400+ records collection.

Pink Floyd (before Roger Waters leaving)
A sane Michael Jackson (let's face it - he isn't coming back)

"please rain fall, and break the surface up into movement like it's alive..." if you can get a copy of There and Back Again Lane, a real one, the liner notes tell the BEST sarah stories.
