also Jevon Snead lost the texas game 3 years ago to Kansas State so i never believed a second of the hype about that fucking guy

It doesn't take 12 weeks to realize there are only three or maybe four teams that are anywhere close to MNC contenders.

Miami looks good now, but they'll get rolled by VT and Bama just to fuck everything up.

With the skewed nature of the preseason rankings, it probably will take 12 weeks to sort the wheat from the chaff. It'll sort out eventually, but right now there are just so many overrated pretenders in the top 25. ESPN is making such a huge deal about top 5 teams getting knocked off every week, but this early in the season how much does that really mean? Was Oklahoma State really the fifth best team in the nation just for beating a down Georgia team with no defense? Was Ole Miss really number 4 just for...well, why the hell were they number 4?

But I guess it will be a big deal when number 3 'Bama gets knocked off tomorrow.

I think Bama's defense might be that good. Or at the very least they're a hell of a lot better than Georgia's. I wasn't expecting Arkansas's offense to look quite so bad. Though to be fair, dropped passes and penalties are killing them more than Bama's defense.

I'm not impressed with Bama's offense yet though. Arkansas's shitty defense has actually played pretty well against them except for the long run (which would have been for a loss, but for the HORRIBLE tackling) and the long pass where our moron DC obviously had no fucking clue what was going on.

14 points is not that big of a lead when you have the weapons Arkansas does. (I hope)

Not impressed with Bama's offense at all though. I could throw for 200 yards against Arkansas's secondary.

He wasn't that impressive, IMO. He seems like a good game manager type QB, nothing more. Lots of decent QBs are going to look like superstars against Arkansas's high school pass defense this year.

those numbers against the Arkansas pass defense do not impress me. not one bit.

but i get to watch one of the best quarterbacks in the country every week (this can no longer be debatable). pretty awesome how he swooped in to save the day last night. and also incredibly pathetic that he had to.

And the only reason ND won was because Purdue's coach made the worst coaching decision in football history by CALLING A TIMEOUT WHEN THE OTHER TEAM IS FRANTICALLY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DOWN THE BALL.
