Yeah.. I picked Emma before I knew how popular it was.

But I had an uber popular name too, it never really bothered me...

I'm still open to other names, I just haven't found anything else that I like as much.

We traded that for having a larger back yard, since it's a corner lot. It's shaped like a pie, so little front and side yards, big fenced-in back yard. Better for the pups.

The ability to fix things myself, instead of having to wait on the maintenance guy to come by and do a shitty job that he'll just have to redo in a week or two.

Having visitors without checking in with the office to get them parking passes.

Etc etc... I fucking hate living in an apartment.

you know a house costs far far more on that front no matter how "energy efficient" it is.

while everything you said is more or less a draw back, i suppose (though you can buy condos), i'd never want to live in a house because of how wasteful it is in terms of land and population density.

When you're doing your taxes, it asks you if you're a first time home buyer. If you choose yes, you get $8k credited to your taxes. Pretty sure you have to submit a copy of the paperwork to prove it. Kinda simple :/
