most of the things i have to do today would involve talking on the phone so i can't escape

i usually end up doing things so quickly and finding that i have hours to kill

stars: must be related to post count. and some people (moderators or others) get special stars. nobody should care though.

surgery: i'm not sure if these are surgery or not. but anyway.
i had my wisdom teeth removed in the hospital. i don't know anymore, but i think i was 17. i was awake. lots of fun. it was done in two times, with a couple of weeks in between.

and when i was 19 i jumped through a window (single glass). i thought it was an open sliding door. it wasn't open, and it wasn't a sliding door.
the only serious injury i got from this was a big and deep stab wound in my quadriceps (right thigh). first they didn't notice how deep it was and just stitched the surface. the next day the wound exploded and i was bleeding through the stitches and through the four layers of bandage. back to the hospital, where they anesthesized me locally, but not enough (it was even deeper than they thought then), reopened the wound, and electrocuted/burned(?) every touched blood vessel in my muscle, so the bleeding would stop. once again, lots of fun.

oh my god...

well with the wisdom tooth i removed the top ones at the dentists office and it was a lot of fun, and i dont say this in a sarcastic way, they give you so many pills that you end up enjoying the whole thing... i still have the bottom ones to go and i better do it soon but even tho its fun while you're at it it's not so much fun once the drugs are gone

the window thing sounds really painful... do you have any scars?

nah, it isn't.

my wisdom teeth removal phases were left and right, not top and bottom. the local anesthesia didn't have any side effects. i didn't feel funny or happy. all i remember is that they used a huge needle.

the bottom ones are the hardest to remove. better not go to your dentist for those. my mother did that and she was there for hours.

oh you don't get a choice. they don't do those things in hospitals here.
but it's ok because the place is like a dentist hospital?

and my one is impacted, all inside.

I was there for hours too the first time, as long as he gives me those pills

the whole thing was finished and my face was all bloody and I was so high I kept looking in the mirror and laughing

yeah, i went to the hospital, where they have a dentist section. i guess they remove wisdom teeth all day there. i think the actual removing of two teeth took less than ten minutes. waiting for the anesthesia to kick in took longer.

My wisdom teeth extraction sucked ass. Had to break part of my jaw to remove the bottom left tooth - the tops weren't painful but holy god the bottoms both hurt.

I didn't think a dentist could remove wisdom teeth. I wouldn't trust the dude.

i was unconscious for the removal of my wisdom teeth. they knocked me out via some kind of IV drip. the lady who hooked it up said, "ok, i'm going to start it now. do you feel sleepy?" I said "no", and that was the last thing i remember about that. The next thing was I was sitting in some other room with a mouth stuffed full of cotton. My mom, who was there to drive me home, says I was rambling incoherently and claiming to be "the walrus".

being put under that kind of anesthesia involves a lot more risks and has to be done in the hospital. it is generally not necessary for procedures like this in which local anesthesia will be enough, if you ask me that's just to get more money out of it.

They broke my fucking jaw - they sure as hell are knocking me out.

And it wasn't at a hospital.

The tooth and roots were impacted and wrapped around a part of the jawbone.

Took about 2 hours for them to rip all four teeth from my skull.

The hole left is massive and hurts worse than you can imagine. I couldn't eat solid food for 6 days.

Good luck on all that.
