Mental Health Day

So i have taken the day off work citing

a) not enough work to be done and i can't be bothered wandering around pretending to work

b) existentialist crisis

but i just told them i had the flu. (human flu that is)

Anyway:

In 6 months i will be twenty. This, to me, is the threshold of adulthood really. I have a full-time job that i don't hate, a good circle of friends and more money than i really need. I also have poor money management skills, minor depression, a lot of substance addictions and the inability to grow a proper beard. I feel really restless like i need to go and escape and travel but i feel like it is beyond my means because of the cycles of behaviour i have gotten into (i.e. excessive drinking) as a result of the fact that i hate that i'm not even into my adult life yet and i'm already a 9-5er.

As far as traveling goes, a co-worker of mine said you'd be surprised how cheap it is to travel to Central American and SouthEast and SouthCentral Asian countries.

you might just find that saving cash isn't as hard as you might think, and that travelling isn't quite as expensive as you might imagine.
