Again, I never said sex was everything nor did I imply it.
I am in a great relationship that is going on 1 year strong.
My girlfriend and I are both in love and we stimulate each other intellectually, emotionally, and physically.
She is my best friend and also my lover.
It is the healthiest relationship I have ever witnessed and I am eternally grateful for everything I have with her.
If god forbid we were to find that she had ovarian cancer and we could no longer have sex, I would be very upset but I would accept it because she is so amazing in so many other ways and I really do love her.
I would make that sacrifice because it is not something she can control or fix.

Sex is FAR from everything, but a real healthy relationship should have some kind of sexual aspect to it UNLESS it is impossible (like in the case of cancer or another physical ailment that is impossible to fix).

In my previous relationship, I was with a girl for 4 years and we did not have sex for the entirety of the first year of our relationship (because we both felt that we were still too young and not because she was crazy). I definitely felt like I loved her and she loved me even though we weren't having sex. Of course there is more to a relationship.

But to me this is a different scenario.

It really isn't that she's immature even, she's just a really odd type of girl, she's got her head in the clouds a lot. I'm happy with her and I love her, and she loves me, so whatever. And anyway, we don't have "intercourse" technically but we can still make love, at least as much as we can. It isn't as satisfying but we're still together and that's what's important.
