If it's just a gram just put in your 5th pocket or something similar. They won't find it if they pull you to the side but if you see dogs in the area just ditch it before proceeding.

One time when I was flying weekly I was using a huge f'ing knife at work and forgot I had it in my bag. I passed right through security and then realized I had it in my bag while we were in the air. Good work TSA. I would have been in for some serious headaches if they noticed it during the "security" check.
