Default What was your first computer?

When I was little, my father brought home an Apple II that I rarely ever used. Then he hooked me up with a Commodore 64c which I used to play video games on. My first internet hook-up was a top-of-the-line Power Mac 6500 running OS 7.5 with an amazing 32 megs of ram, a blazing 300 mhz processor, and a whopping 3 gigs of hard drive space. I started with a 28k modem but as soon as comcast started offering broadband, I was one of the first to use it.

My first personal computer is this Dell Dimension E510... it aint too bad.. i could go for something better.

The first family computer that I remember having was this old as hell HP computer with windows 98. The only thing I remember about it is that it had like 10-20 gigs of hardrive space

Texas Instruments something-or-other...everything was built into the keyboard. You had to hook it up to a TV and use that as a monitor. There were some cartridges you could get for it to play games and things like that, but otherwise all it would do when you turn it on was let you do Basic programming. Programs were saved by hooking up a cassette recorder to the main box and recording the sounds that sound like the noises a modem makes.

4 MB Ram
420 MB HDD
14.4k modem
Intel 486DX at 33mhz

we got it right before hurricane andrew, so...summer of 92. it was a shitty computer back then i remember thinking.

haha yes! They were marketed as "word processors" for a good while, too.

My parents had an IBM computer in our basement when I lived in long island, but I was too young to remember anything other than the fact that my sister would go on prodigy all the time.
the first computer I had any experience using was a Packard Bell desktop that we got in 1993 when we moved to florida. Had that baby up through middle school I think.

I asked my sister what our first comp was and she said "hell if I know. Ibm. commodore 64. It ran dos." I just remember popping in huge floppys and playing some sweet games.
First personal computer was iBook g4. 512 ram 40 gig hd. The processor is whatever was standard in aug 04. Its still alive and kickin beautifully.

My dad's first computer was a commodore 64. I remember games like jumpman and lode runner.
Then we got a commodore Amiga 500. Sierra games, LucasArts, Ports of Call, Elite....we had a ridic amount of pirated games, it was just so easy to copy games back then.

The first computer I personally bought was a top-end Gateway computer at a blazing speed of 800 mhz. it was close to $3000. christ.
