Default Guns N' Roses - "Chinese Democracy"

Less than 10 days and no thread about it? Weird.

No, it's never been discussed. In fact, I have no idea what you are on about. Care to enlighten us?

I will be downloading this once it comes out. I've mostly been able to avoid the demos, early versions etc. so this oughta be an interesting listen to say the least.

Too bad they cut out Brian May's bit though, hopefully Buckethead still represents

Joe Strummer apparently cut a guitar track, but that song isn't on the album, either.

I think it will be an unavoidable disaster (although a lucrative one), no album can be good enough to justify a wait this long, no matter how good it is.

And going by the lead single, this sounds mediocre at best.

According to Rolling Stone, Buckethead at least appears on "If The World".

It's irritating that it hasn't leaked yet. 7 days until the release in the U.S. and nothing.

The demos were pretty awful. The one demo (which didn't have a title, but I think it's "Prostitute") is the only song that really stood out for me. The songs which have potential, like "Madagascar", are ruined by Axl's strained vocals. Hopefully that gets cleaned up in the final version.

I definitely won't be buying the album, but I will be downloading it when it leaks.

Buckethead is written in large letters all over Chi Dem. His guitar work is everywhere on this album, on every single track.

The Better SINGLE has been released TODAY:

Guns N Roses - Better On Demand - Q104.3 - New York's Classic Rock

This should be a massive hit.

the first single sounds plain. it is a song most bands can write in a week,
not in 14 years

This is pissing me off now. It comes out on Sunday and it still hasn't leaked.

I've been listening to a shitty quality version of Shackler's Revenge and the song is surprisingly growing on me.

Leak: Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy [retail] [128kbs.m4a] (download torrent) - TPB

I'm on the 4th track and thus far, all are legit final versions. 128, but hey, this is good for now.

That's exactly what I thought. I really like some of the songs on here, but it's such a sporadic sound song to song... and sometimes even within the song. Some of the songs sound pieced together like Metallica's St. Anger album.

Said songs that I like:

Shackler's Revenge
There Was A Time
Sorry
Prostitute

The link I posted above is legit by the way. All 14 songs are the finished versions.

the beginning of Scraped is the worst thing I have ever listened to in my entire life!
and that's not being hyperbolic.
