I think he will play some of them. Billy's always done solo performances here and there, even while the Pumpkins have been going on.

i'm listening to the future embrace right now just to see if i would ever really want to hear this stuff live.

"now and then" is a pretty decent tune.

It seems kind of inevitable that the pumpkins will take a break at some point, and I'm guessing Billy would put out some solo material then. I'd hope he does, songs like Walking Shade and Mini were really amazing, probably better than any current pumpkins material.

TheFutureEmbrace reminds me of The Postal Sevice in a way..

do you guys think, if his solo album had sold well, that he would still have reformed pumpkins?

If I could pick one thing that REALLY pisses me off about TFE, it's the drum machines. I can handle the synth, I guess, but the drum machines are just unbearable. I agree with Monte, some of these songs would sound really good with a full band.

More than one guitar track per song would be nice, too.

There was a German programme that was like "A Night with Billy Corgan and Uli Jon Roth", and Billy mentioned to Uli that one of the experiments he did on TFE was to strictly limit himself to one guitar track for each song.

Yeah, Now and Then could sound pretty awesome as a full-band live song.

I thought the FTE album and tour was awesome, but I don't think the songs will ever be seriously played again since in 2005, TFE was in the "now".

I would LOVE to hear TheCameraEye in a live traditional rock oriented production.

I'm not sure. I love the Future Embrace album. It's so artistic and free feeling. It's beautiful =)

It's stunning. I'm listening now. =)

I was there when this was brought up. The other comment Billy made was "maybe in 10 years or so". My personal thought was.... "ok, when you're 51".

So Billy is not opposed to doing TFE songs again... but it sounds like he has no intention of playing any in the near future (or decade).
