Is a pretty brilliant show. I just saw the last episode last night.

Just the scope of it is amazing. By the end of the series there's an entire city's worth of characters, many of whom are some of the best characters on TV. It also has the best and most surprising death scenes of any show.

I was going to watch the Sopranos next, but I've seen the first season and it just seems like a cartoon compared to this shit.

I've finished the 1st season of this and I'll start the 2nd in a while. Part of me wants to jump right in as fast as I can but part of me wants to pace it out a little bit. It's pretty intense.

I haven't even really thought about The Sopranos in comparison to it. They're pretty different.

I actually just watched the first two episodes of this last night after my sister had been trying to force me into watching it for the last several months. Good so far.

I was hooked by the first couple of episodes but it really gets good once you get inside the characters a little bit more and some of the over-arching themes get a bit more apparent.

I also have a thing for cops, which helps.

yeah the wire is pretty great. its become such a tired saying but oh well: its pretty much the best show ever made.
