my cat woke me up by sitting on my face and meowing at me. i don't have to be at work for 3.5 hours so now i'm smoking a blunt and watching brazil v. nigeria women's soccer. brazil scored twice in a minute (both by the same player) and the second goal was a bicycle kick.

If I had to run a 10K I would probably keel over. I ran a 5K several years ago but have to struggle for like 2 1/2 miles now. I was going to slum it today since I have not run in a while but I didn't. Yay for small victories.

it just sucks because i'm pretty much the slowest in my running group - all these guys (you met a few of them at lolla) are going to do a half marathon in october. i'm just doing this for 'fun/fitness'. yesterday though it was me and this other guy who hurt his knee and was hobbling next to me, so i was slow just to wait for him too.

Have you ever run in a race before? Sometimes even if you are just doing it to stay in shape or have fun it works to your advantage to have some sort of goal. I am going to try to run a 5K at the end of next month and that's what has kept me going to not run less than 2 1/2 miles on most days. I am really doing it for the same reasons you are but I found with a goal I am much more motivated to not be a lazy ass. I think that is sort of why I didn't take to biking so much, there was nothing to shoot for.

Not that I can recall. I have never been a long distance runner; I think the longest I have ever run was almost seven miles. I did think I was having one once when I was doing my morning run at school, but it was just an pre-seizure aura. Boy was that disappointing.
