Default The best album ever made

I don't know if there is any decent 80's fans here that soak in real meaningful music but Revelations is just the best bit of fucking music history to grace my life. Drony yet seductive, primal but octane, subversive yet utterly substantial, do me a favour and get some some fucking sense pumping through that skull of yours. Listen to this album and realise the finest display of musical expression concieved during this period, nothing else even comes close. Killing joke - Revelations, fuck the press, just listen to it.

I was just noticing how the verse section of this sounds like Hungry Like the Wolf (the vocal pattern mainly), and then I noticed that Revelations came out one month after Duran Duran released that single. Fancy that.

Right one month after, I guess that means that instantly condones it a melodic copy (I got no idea how long this song was in circulation but im pretty sure they were playing this before they released the album). I see what your getting at, listening to the DD song again, but come on, they are different songs entirely, Killing Joke take cues from Duran Duran, hah. Well spotted though.

In Fact, fuck that, they aren't similar enough to condone that, the vocal style is similair to KJ's earlier material in some parts, so im not going to assume any kind of plagiarism.

Haha, you had to edit your post. I'm just kidding though, there's probably no kind of plagiarism but the fact that the parts sound alike is funny enough.

prince - lovesexy

i remember the first time i passed this on the record rack. it was up there with a bunch of cure bootlegs and a vinyl copy of stranger than fiction and the times square soundtrack. i was there to purchase faith and a disintegration picture disc. i never bought this record until 4 years later. i was really heavily into masturbation then.

Call People magazine, Rolling Stone
Call your next of kin, cuz your ass is gone
He's got a 57 mag with the price tag still on the side

Or U can fly high right by Spooky and all that he crawls 4

Yes talking about bands that aren't on the mainstream board scale is bad. Biffy Clyro have been the centre of no discussion for quite a while.

Good also, I just eventually wound down to liking their earlier work more, especially Revelations. They have released a share of pretty bad stuff to though. If your not that far into KJ you will probably find that you'll gain more respect for their earlier work the more you listen to, though their latest album is pretty amazing too.

The second best album ever made is Loveless by My Bloody Valentine. And that is a FACT.
