i think these guys are pretty overrated but not bad

bradford cox's split 10" with cole alexander from the black lips is way way better than the deerhunter stuff.

Microcastle is readily becoming one of my favorite albums of 2008.

Some distortion on a few songs really reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins in their prime.

I enjoy their music. Cryptograms was pretty good when it came out and I am really enjoying Microcastle.

I missed them a couple years ago in Detroit....but that video of them at Pitchfork sucked.

i just listened to microcastle, on first listen i like it a lot more than cryptograms. this will probably end up being one of my favorite albums of the year. really different from cryptograms.

also heard weird era cont, pretty cool but closer to cryptograms and i prefer how microcastle is more straightforward.

and the mediafire account kicking around definitely wasnt on purpose, bradford cox threw a hissy fit about it.

Deerhunter is a great band, they deserve their hype. Cryptograms was one of my favorites last year, and Microcastle is my favorite album of this year so far.

Also a really big fan of Bradford's Atlas Sound stuff. Both are great live if you ever get the chance.

side project: lotus plaza - the floodlight collective
lotus plaza- the floodlight collective.zip

atlas soundy but more accessible. microcastle fans prolly wont be too excited about it. maybe. last track is a standout, ill prolly end up liking this.
