Unhappy ttw

the only song from zeitgeist that i think you could seriously call a classic. the only other sp song this uplifting is tonight tonight. and the whole song is what, three or four chords? bill knows how to do so much with so little...my only irk with the song is that i wish he changed the emphasis on the chorus to sound more affirmative, like "that's the WAY..." instead of "that's the wayyy..." know what i mean?

I guess I'll have to give it another listen.

I deleted it off of the Zeitgeist in my mp3 player. I've always found it to be too repetitive and Billy's vocals are too emotionless (as with the rest of the album).

i like the bass part, during the 'whenever I call...' prechorus section, but the thing I love the most is the keyboard / synthesizer during the chorus. it blends together so nicely with the vocals and the other instruments to create pure sonic blisssssss.

The reason, for me, that I believe it is a classic. When I heard this I again said to myself, "why does Billy pick the worst versions of songs to be on the records?"

I'm not deleting it from my player, but that's my view of the song too. Repetitive can work, but that chorus is weak. ...verses and solo are both great though.

the 2:24-2:42 part is easily one of the best parts of zeitgeist

the guitar part leading into, "I feel a coming age now I feel a dawn in me" gets me every time. I loop while I go running and honest to goodness it releases endorphins every time. I go numb for about 7 seconds, its wonderful. The intro to Transmission used do to have that effect on me.
