just because trent has been so oppressed by record companies and the big industry politics, doesnt mean everyone is ready to kiss his feet when he does something (industry)different. thats great that he had a great turn-around on releasing it, i just dont see what is innovative or neat or clever or "pretty cool" about it. but i dont think he's doing anyone any favors either. its just his stickin music. and i like to bitch about trent because i think he's a coat tail riding bitch. even if i like some of his music.

"Discipline" is nothing special, but it does have a nice feel to it. I've been listening to Ghosts quite a lot recently. Some absolutely gorgeous moments there.

yeah and thats cool. i was just saying the tune was mediocre and a retread of past work. which doesn't seem to be too unpopular of an opinion and you got pissed off. it has nothing to do with ghosts, which i'm actually really really enjoying.

i don't expect albums like TDS or the fragile, just like i don't expect SD or MCIS from the pumpkins. any mature music listener wouldn't expect that from bands that have been around this like like NIN or SP. i loved year zero too, but if he bombs a song, imo, now and then i have no problem calling it out.

I just went over to echoingthesound to see what they had to say and it looks like Trent still has plans for a part 2 but has other things on his plate right now.

I'm guessing with all the label crap and everything he has going on right now it's hard to plan it but if he doesn't do a part 2 and sum this shit up I'm going to be seriously upset. For everyone who paid such close attention to it and got drawn in, that would be shitty as hell for him not to at least put something out for closure. It'd basically be a slap in the face and a waste of time for everyone who cared about it.

Not to mention I miss it.

I think about the Year Zero world from time to time and I really do miss it... *sniffle*
