I was able to read Bryan Cranston's memoir in two days because I had half shifts for two days and used the hours in between end of shift and picking up the kid from school to sit in the library and read it.

He's a good storyteller!

I just opened the Book of Wonder. This is Dunsany's preface:

Come with me, ladies and gentlemen who are in any wise
weary of London: come with me: and those that tire at all of
the world we know: for we have new worlds here.

So stoked dudes!!!

wow:

Yet in the blood of man there is a tide, an old sea current,
rather, that is somehow akin to the twilight, which
brings him rumours of beauty from however far away, as driftwood
is found at sea from islands not yet discovered; and this
springtide of current that visits the blood of man comes from
the fabulous quarter of his lineage, from the legendary, of old;
it takes him out to the woodlands, out to the hills; he listens to
ancient song.

I suppose you wouldn't be reading them all if they weren't good.

well, i remember reading the first couple of them, translated in dutch, when i was a teenager. now i've got them all in english. it's funny stuff.
maybe eight books is stretching the subject a bit too much. i don't know. i'll see.

It's her memoir; mainly focuses on her mother's extremely erratic and addictive behavior, her own alcoholism, and recovery.
Sounds boring but she's a good writer who really delves into her own psyche a lot.

I'm towards the end and she finds her own version of god and this part is kinda whack and boring but it's been a fun ride.

Just binge-read Corey Feldmans autobiography: Coreyography. I'm not even really a huge fan of his work (though you can't deny that Goonies and Gremlins were awesome). But his story is insane. And unlike some of these biographies, he focuses front and center on the total dysfunction and destruction of it all.

Totally worth a read. I read it in 3 8 hour sessions. Everything from a detailed description of his friendship with Michael Jackson to Hollywood's rampant pedophilia epidemic.
