my favorite napster oddities - "Blinded by the Light" by ELO. "Over the Rainbow" by Jimi Hendrix. Or "Over the Rainbow" by Yngwie Malmsteen. (its actually by Chris Impelliteri, if anyone knows what I'm talking about)

Yes, in Chicago, and for that matter, anywhere in the world.

But, it's cute that you go on thinking that Chicago still has some unreal love for The Pumpkins. Cute.

There's usually about 40 - 50k at any day at Lollapalooza. Of those, how many casual alternative music listeners will choose Bjork or SP? How many people would show up to SP just to say they saw them in Chicago or they relived 90s radio for a moment?

But it's cute that you think you have some kind of hipster credibility because you'd rather see Bjork. Cute.

What? I laid out my argument. He put something out there because it's cool to hate on SP and that I didn't believe was accurate.

it has nothing to do with hatred for the pumpkins. i'd wager to say that he likes the pumpkins a whole goshdarn bunch. but come on, use your brain. people would come in droves to see bjork at lollapalooza. the same thing just wouldn't happen for the pumpkins under any circumstance, maybe baring the return of the original line-up.

really? i've never thought of her as a huge festival-headliner type of artist. but that could just be because i've never met a bjork fan in my entire life. ever.

Bjork is definitely popular. But Radiohead, NIN, and SP are all much better known and liked among "mainstream" alternative fans. Lollapalooza has a huge mainstream contingent, unlike say Pitchfork Music Festival across town. I mean, RHCP headlined Lollapalooza. No indie fucks like hte Chili Peppers I guarantee it. It's the Q101 crowd that turns out for Lolla. And theyd definitely come out in droves for a Radiohead / NIN / SP ticket as opposed to Radiohead / NIN / Bjork.

Most people keep their Bjork love to themselves. My wife was flabbergasted I was a fan when we first met.

bottom line, Bjork would not draw a bigger crowd than the pumpkins at a festival, no way in hell, no matter how many art colleges in the vicinity.

and at radiohead and SP colab on napster
