17 and The Everlasting Gaze

Allthough I know this isn't the place to come for interpretations of songs or symbols, does have any knowledge as to what the significance of the number 17 was in the Adore era (i.e. the 17 days of rain line from Blissed and Gone, the song 17, the 17 seconds bit in the booklet, etc.) or what the letters c.o.g. stand for in the lyrics to The Everlasting Gaze? (but underneath the wheels lie the skulls of every c.o.g. ...)

blissed and gona and 17 are the same song. Blissed and Gone was supposed to be on Adore but I believe people told them the cd was too long and took it off. I don't think the number 17 really means anything

Child of god is another candidate that got thrown around at the time. And yeah, cog itself is a word. There is also the school of thought that the whole thing is meaningless bullshit.

I stand by my opinion that the Machina Mystery is cool, but just got carried too far off topic.

Try listening to Blissed and Gone, and then 17, and see if you can spot the connection! Also, 17 is 17 seconds long, and the poem is obviously tied into that track/Blissed and Gone. And one of the lines from the song is 'Sweet 17'. This really isn't that hard is it?

As for the c.o.g. thing (isn't it written like that in the lyric booklet?) I always thought it meant Child Of Grunge, because like if B0lly was dead there's a chance his records would sell!

17 is piano riff off Blissed and Gone and I always thought it's called 17 on the album, because
a)it was supposed to be the last track on Adore after LMGTWTY, but as LMGTWTY has been taken away, it moved to track no.16.
b) it's 17 seconds long.
c) it's reference to Blissed and Gone.

Just me though..
BTW, on Adore JP edition it's still no.17
