did some higher level fact checker fact them or something? politifact is an excellent source of information on claims made by political figures. I don't always agree 100% with their determinations, but they cite all sources and are very even handed in their rulings.

politifact has received equal criticism from conservatives. other fact checkers frequently take flack from both sides as well. very common. I think it is funny that you use Rachel Maddow as a source to trump a fact checker though

furthermore they regularly publish a mailbag bit full of criticisms. usually it's a good sign for non-bias when something is attacked from all sides.

and again I don't always agree with what they rule, but the "truthometer" is just like a gimmick to top off each article. The do their research and make it all available to the reader.
